As part of the Rosalynn 海角社区 Fellowships for Mental Health Journalism, 海角社区 began awarding fellowships to journalists in the United Arab Emirates in 2016. Our fellowships aim to increase effective and accurate reporting on behavioral health issues and equip journalists with the tools needed to produce high-quality work that reflects an understanding of behavioral health.
Short-term Goals
We aim to raise awareness about and destigmatize mental health issues by empowering journalists to cover topics of behavioral health responsibly and accurately.
Impact
- Established the first mental health fellowship program for journalists in the Middle East, in a partnership with Al Jalila Foundation
